International Shipping and Tariff Policy for US Customers

TLDR: You will NOT receive an unexpected bill when buying from Athlete Accolades.

At Athlete Accolades, we strive to make the purchasing process as clear and simple as possible for our US customers. Our goal is to ensure you receive your products quickly and without unexpected customs charges.

As a Canadian company, our policies are designed around the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), also known as the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA).

1. USMCA/CUSMA Compliant Products (Duty-Free)

The vast majority of our products qualify for preferential tariff treatment under the USMCA/CUSMA as they meet the agreement's strict Rules of Origin requirements. This means they are considered "originating" goods of Canada.

For all USMCA/CUSMA Compliant orders:

  • NO Tariffs will be charged to the customer.
  • Each compliant order will be accompanied by a CUSMA/USMCA Certification of Origin (or similar documentation) that legally exempts the products from most applicable US tariffs.
  • The price you see at checkout is the final price for the product and shipping. You will not be billed for any customs duties at the border or upon delivery.

2. USMCA/CUSMA Non-Compliant Products (Athlete Accolades Pays Tariffs)

In some instances, a product may not meet the USMCA/CUSMA Rules of Origin. This could be due to the nature of the materials used, the sourcing of components, or other factors that classify the product as "non-originating."

For non-compliant products, tariffs may apply to the shipment.

To ensure a seamless customer experience, our policy is as follows:

  • Athlete Accolades will be responsible for and prepay any applicable US tariffs and customs duties for non-compliant products shipped to US customers.
  • The price you see at checkout is the final price for the product and shipping. You will not be billed for any customs duties at the border or upon delivery.
  • Athlete Accolades manages all necessary customs declarations and duties payments to ensure your package is delivered without delay or unexpected costs to you.
